I iron every day -- shirts, table linen, evem sheets. Most ironing board pads and covers last a few months until they are "squished"and no longer act as a pad. I searched and read reviews and finally (in desperation!) bought this pad. It is great! It is for people who iron every day for an hour or so. It is so hard to find a product that meets your use. I bought the Whitney because it was the one pad/cover that stated how thick the pad was that I could find on Amazon. So I bought it. It would be good if all ironing board covers/pads stated how thick the pad is, or gave durability estimates by amount of ironing done per day.
I may have bought the wrong cover -- given how much ironing I do per day -- but there was no way to know. Meanwhile, this pad/cover is working well.
I would like Amazon to rate ironing board pads/covers by 1)iron one hour per week, 2)two hours per week ... up to 10 hours per week then I could compare function and price -- not just pretty graphics! Meanwhile, while waiting for such a system, this cover/pad is for people who iron a lot!
